Following the success of the pop-up dressage series this winter, the NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) has set up an online National Dressage Qualifier, which has enabled members of our equestrian team to compete from home.
In the team competition, which consists of two members competing in the prelim section and two in the novice section, Hurst was represented by John, Katie, Martha and Eliza. The team finished in a creditable eleventh place out of the 21 teams who entered from across the UK. Eliza finished sixth and Martha finished in fifteenth place in the novice section, whilst John and Katie both put in very solid performances to support the team in the prelim section and also rode as individuals in the novice section.
In the elementary section we were represented by Eliza – on her two ponies – and Jess. Jess finished in fifteenth place, whilst Eliza placed sixth on Jillz vd Zonnehoeve and on Hattrick Warren took a brilliant third place qualify for the National Finals in October.
“ This was brilliant work from all our riders - I know they will take on board the feedback and put that into action for the coming season ” Georgina Black, Equestrian Team Manager
