“ This is a fantastic outcome! The most raised in previous Fun Runs was £2650. Given all the challenges that Covid has introduced, we are so very appreciative of the time and effort to organise this event, and make it such a success. ” Many thanks from us all at Hope House Haiti (UK)
As the sun broke through the clouds, Pre-Prep pupils led the way to the start of the Heroes Run.
Now a familiar date in the Prep and Pre-Prep diary, this annual fun event brings pupils together to raise money for Hope House Haiti (UK). Hope House is a charity supporting Yvrose and her husband to run Hope Christian Academy in Haiti.
Superheroes, NHS heroes and other well-known characters made their way around the course on a beautiful sunny afternoon. The aim was to raise £2000 to continue teacher sponsorship and to fund some of the latest farm developments. The target has already been beaten with over £2,400 raised so far and donations are still being collected.
After their exploits, the pupils appreciated the lemonade ice lollies enjoyed under the shaded shelter of the trees. They then made their way to a Chapel service with prayers and thoughts for friends in Haiti.
“ A huge thank you to the games staff, including Little Miss Bossy and Mr Grumpy, who brought enthusiasm and encouragement with the help of a loud-hailer, ” Zoe Taylor-West, Head of PSHCE (Prep School)
