The annual Pre-Prep Sports Day ran differently this year, with a livestream direct from Eastfield into the living rooms and offices of pupils’ families. With entertaining commentary from Miss Money, Mr Dewey and comical demonstrations from Mr Lewis, it was a special afternoon for all.
Pupils participated in track races which included 70m sprints, hurdles, sack race and hurdles. The Year 2 class also had the option to compete in a 200m to finish the track races. After a quick break, pupils were sent to their respective starting points for the nine-station carousel. This included a mix of fun and more traditional field events, as pupils participated in numerous options at different stations. The activities included: parachute games, javelin, long jump, obstacle courses, tug of war and the coconut shy.
“ It was a wonderful afternoon, concluded by each child receiving a medal for their efforts throughout the day and a thank you for their hard work during PE this year. We are really looking forward to welcoming the parents back to our events very soon! ” Carla Dilley, Head of Pre-Prep PE
