Fundraising, in the form of cake sales, made a return to the Prep School last Friday.
After a slightly different, classroom-based sale last year, it was great to see such an amazing selection of cakes, baked by the pupils, and decorated in their house colours, Pupils from Bettys, Lowes, Scotts and Howards all displayed colourful tables full with cakes, biscuits and cookies for sale. There was even a table dedicated for pupils with specific dietary requirements.
The offerings displayed represented true Hurst spirit in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The funds raised are now with the Chaplain to tally the total which will be revealed this week.
As in previous years, we sent matchboxes home for pupils to decorate and fill with coins and notes.
The College hopes to be able to offer a full coffee morning, inviting parents in for a cup of tea or coffee and a cake, at morning drop-off soon.
