Glorious autumnal conditions greeted our Year 5 and 6 runners as they arrived at Seaford College. This year, the cross country course differed hugely from previous editions of the race.
Donning their new running vests, our pupils were very excited as they went out to explore the mile-long course. The U10 girl’s race was first off up the hill. All of our runners put on a great show, with three runners finishing in the top 20, led by Minnie G who finished in an incredible third place. In the U10 boys’ event, all five boys finished in the top half of the field, with Tom CB claiming a top 15 result. In the U11 girls’ race was hotly contested but the Hurst team was extremely strong as Amelie W and Ciara O finished in first and second respectively. The U11 boys’ was the last race of the day in boiling hot sunshine. Following a false start, our boys fought valiantly with Archer C taking third place and Jack H also finished in the top 15.
