The Student Digital Learning team, formed of members from Remove to Lower Sixth, visited local prep school, Dorset House, to teach year 7 and 8 pupils how to use their new Surface Pro devices to aid their transition from prep to senior school.
Our students designed and delivered an assembly, followed by a series of workshops, for the Dorset House pupils. This included teaching them how to use Outlook, OneDrive, and internet browsers – all transferrable digital skills.
This first external trip proved hugely successful as the standard of delivery was excellent and the workshops were informative, engaging and well received by the pupils. The staff at Dorset House were impressed by the quality of teaching delivered by our students and have invited them back to run another session next year. The intention is to make this an annual fixture and to visit other schools in the future.
