Two teams of four Remove students performed exceptionally well in the annual Maths Feast challenge last week.
Hosted at Worthing College and organised by the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme, the event featured a variety of rounds designed to test problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.
The students in both Hurst teams worked well together against some stiff competition from other schools – such as Roedean, Bohunt and Bede’s – to win three out of the four rounds and claim the highest overall score.
The team of Lily B, Jessica B, George G and Benjamin C finished in first place and the other team of Sophie A, Ziggy T, Andreas R G and Joe T finished in third.
“ This was a great showing from some of Hurst’s top Remove mathematicians ” Jack Denning, Head of Remove Maths
