Ancient Egyptians in Brighton
Year 3 pupils enjoy mummification workshop at museum
Last week, Year 3 pupils spent a fascinating morning learning about the ancient Egyptians at Brighton Museum.
The workshop was based on mummification and the journey to the afterlife which proved to be a great hands-on experience for the children. They removed organs and wrapped the bodies of their Egyptian Pharaohs and their shrieks of disgust and excitement could probably be heard back at Hurst!
Back in the Art room at Hurst, pupils spent the lesson recording their morning through drawings and studies of Egyptian objects.
