It was a case of Lights, camera, action! as the New Bury Theatre staged the long-awaited inter-house Creative Arts Festival for Prep School pupils.
After the traditional annual House Music and Talent Show was cancelled during Covid, the curtains were raised on this new celebration of music, dance, drama and creative arts. There was something for everyone to enjoy and more pupils than ever were involved in the performances and production.
Pupils across the year groups took the opportunity to share some hidden talents. From stunning singing and instrumental solos, dramatic duologue and monologue, through to breath-taking ballet and tumbling acts. There was a particularly warm welcome, plus exuberant audience participation, during the whole house songs.
“ It was agreed by all involved that they cannot wait to do it all over again next year! ” Zoe Taylor-West, Teacher of Year 3
