As we started our week of celebrations to mark this year’s Anti-Bullying Week, pupils and staff across the Junior and Senior Prep Schools donned their odd socks to highlight that we are all different, and how important it is in our community to accept and embrace each and every person for what they are. Pupils in Junior Prep listened to a morning assembly presented by Year 3, and they have started to create classroom displays of brightly decorated odd socks. In the older years, pupils in 7 and 8 took part in discussions in their tutor groups about this year’s theme which is ‘Reach Out’, helping them to identify trusted adults and support networks within school who can help. Reaching out can sometimes feel daunting and there is an important message for everyone to seek help and advice when something is bothering or upsetting them.
