We visited Les Menuires, in the French Alps, with 24 students in Y6-13, from Sunday to Saturday. The event, the First Snow Schools Ski Champs had around 100 racers involved and consisted of two days’ training and three days’ racing.
All pupils had the opportunity to participate in Slalom, Grand Slalom and Team Parallel, all held on official Stade Slalom. The Finale consisted of two teams of six racing against each other side by side, which was the highlight of the week.
Hurst performed extremely well taking second place after being pipped to the post by Wickham Abbey. A fantastic number of medals were awarded in Slalom and Grand Slalom with students in all age groups winning a prize.
