January 20 saw the Year 5-8 Cross Country event at Great Walstead with roughly 350 pupils from 11 schools participating. Despite the weather being cold and the ground being frozen or very muddy, it was a great event. We had 24 students participate from Hurst with 12 U11s and 12 U13s. Unfortunately, there were no individual medals in any of the four races but consistent performances from all students placed Hurst 3rd overall.
