On June 7th and 8th, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 performed the musical ‘Hat’s Off!’. This was the first production the pupils had ever been in, and they worked incredibly hard to bring it to life.
The play centres around Apple the pony, who finds a sunhat but struggles to understand when she should wear it after it is blown off in Autumn, not warm enough for Winter and not waterproof for the April showers in Spring. Luckily a whole host of farm animals were on hand to help her work it out!
The pupils all performed their roles beautifully and created some very memorable characters. The play was performed in the Inner Quad and while we were fortunate to have the most amazing weather, Hat’s Off to the performers who kept going despite some very warm costumes… Who would have thought we’d see Snowman in June!
“ The pupils performed with confidence and seemed to really enjoy their moment on the stage. They should be very proud of all their hard work. ” Alexandra Oakden, Assistant Head of Junior Prep
