On Saturday 4 May, three Hurst pupils headed off early to the prestigious Royal Windsor Horse Show hosted in the private grounds at Windsor Castle.
Our riders—Harriet B, Ralf B, and Olivia S—took part in the Military Service Showjumping Competition—alongside 24 other teams. The competition included several police and army teams (including Hurst, representing the CCF) and some from far afield, with two teams coming all the way from Bahrain. All of our riders had a brilliant day, coming 3rd overall which is a fantastic achievement. We finished the first round on just 4 faults, and in the second round Ralf rode one of the fastest rounds of the day.
Later in the afternoon, it was spectacular to see the teams as they paraded around the main area, with all of their impressive livery on show. The King of Bahrain and Duke of Edinburgh were present, and they presented the rosettes at the end of the day; a very special moment for our pupils.
