Prep School pupils celebrated this year’s World Book Week in a big way with a range of activities throughout the week.
In the lead up to the celebrations, Prep School Librarian Mrs Barrett sent out details of a competition in which pupils were encouraged to create a book title or a scene from a book in a jam jar. A whole host of fantastic entries were received, and all entrants were given a small prize. The overall winners were Joshua G, Alba M, Bo B, Eddie A and Lucy S.
A Book Fair was set up in the library, which ran throughout the whole week, and Harry Potter Day held last Tuesday, was a magical event when pupils dressed up as characters from the ever-popular series. On Thursday, World Book Day itself, an English Masterclass took place in the library with children writing wonderfully creative stories based on a range of characters from a picture book.
