The London Design Museum is identified as one of the World’s leading museums with a focus on modern design in the past, present and future through temporary exhibitions and displays.
64 Remove students from the DT department headed to The Design Museum in London to participate in a hands-on lighting workshop. The workshop allowed the pupils to analyse a range of lights as a starting point for their next project. This project involved designing and manufacturing a light based on a period of history from the last 150 years. The pupils also had the opportunity to look around the museum’s permanent Designer Maker User exhibition, which houses almost a thousand items of 20th and 21st-century design, ranging from product design, architecture, engineering, fashion, and graphics.
