On the final day of the half term, the whole of the Junior and Senior Prep School participated in our annual inter-house competition. This year, for the first time, we were joined by Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The pupils were split into their houses, dressed in their house t-shirts and worked their way round a carousel of activities. Each house was required to take part in the various activities and demonstrate a range of skills including team work, communication and resilience!
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 took part in an agility course, football, ball games and a teamwork activity on the jungle track. It was fantastic to see the pupils working together, particularly the older children helping the younger ones!
Year 3 and 4 pupils did a cross country run, football competition, end-ball and agility course. All pupils took to these with good spirit, and a somewhat competitive nature, to try to gain points for their houses.
Year 5 and 6 (combined), Year 7 and Year 8 took part in a hockey activity, end-ball, cricket and rugby activities. All pupils joined in and worked hard to impress the activity leaders and demonstrate the attributes and skills needed to win points for their houses.
All activity leaders awarded points for the houses they felt worked best as a team throughout! A long-awaited result announcement was made with all year groups in chapel.
“ A fantastic, fun filled afternoon in the sunshine and a great way to end a packed half term! ” Kristina Money, Head of Prep School Girls' Sport
