On Tuesday pupils from Years 7 to 10 represented Hurst at the Track and Field Cup at K2 Crawley aiming to qualify for the regional finals in June.
In this unique competition, athletes compete in a track and field event or relay, and all their performances are converted to points added together to contribute to a team total.
As impressive as the huge number of personal bests (PBs) on the day was our pupil’s behaviour and the care they showed for others in their teams; all great ambassadors for themselves and the college.
We await results from other counties to discover if teams have qualified for regional finals, however team results against other schools on the day are:
- Junior Girls (Years 7&8) – 1st
- Junior Boys (Years 7&8) – 3rd
- Inter Girls (Years 9&10) – 1st
- Inter Boys (Years 9&10) – 1st
