Baroness Gisela Stuart visits Hurst College
On Tuesday 4 October, students were treated to a discussion and Q&A with Baroness Gisela Stuart. Coming in on the back of interviewing the new Treasury Civil Service team, the Baroness provided a range of anecdotes and opinions on the most pressing issues of the day. These included topics of Brexit, the Civil Service, her role on the Royal Mint Commission, the Labour Party, her role as First Civil Service Commissioner and Blair’s legacy. All in all, the Baroness spoke to a strong audience of 120, which included students from Hurst, St Wilfrid’s and Sir Robert Woodward Academy.
