Students compete well in 80cm, 90cm and 1m classes
It was another successful day for Hurst Equestrian at the Coombelands NSEA Eventers Challenge Qualifiers.
Our 80cm team of John, Ellie and Tilda had a good learning experience when they jumped a wrong fence but produced clear rounds. The 90cm team of Harriet, Jess, Tilda and Bear jumped three lovely rounds to secure second place and qualification for the finals in May; and Harriet, on her new horse, jumped into a brilliant sixth place individually.
Before the heavens opened, the 1m team of Jess, Harry, Ryan and Tilda finished the day in style to secure a win and qualification for the finals. Jess also picked up an individual qualification by finishing in second place and Harry claimed fifth place.
“It has been a fabulous Michaelmas term for Hurst Equestrian and we have much to look forward to in 2020 with county qualifiers, the Windsor Horse Show and the Eventers Challenge Finals,” Georgina Black, Mistress-in-charge of Equestrian.
