Senior School netball players enjoyed a valuable Saturday coaching session with ex-England netball player and seven-time Super League Champion, Tamsin Greenway. Tamsin, the current Head Coach of Scottish Thistles, ensured that students from all age groups benefitted from her experience as she rotated around the groups focusing on their movement towards the ball.
Our netballers thoroughly enjoyed their time with Tamsin, as you can see from their comments below:
“Tasmin was really great! She taught us to turn our feet, about angles/drives and which way to turn when we are going for different balls. It was so good to have a professional teach us and to receive new feedback, points to work on, to learn different techniques and take on board tips from the drills that we did,” Anna F, Shell
“It was a really good experience for everyone, to have Tamsin, an ex-international player, come to visit us. She gave us a few tips on turning quickly and getting your head around quickly which was very beneficial for me,” Olivia C, Remove
“I was really excited to find out that Hurst had secured the netball equivalent of David Beckham to train us on Saturday. Tamsin is an outstanding player, coach and commentator who delivered a fantastic session, broadening both our netball skills and knowledge,“ Lauren W, Fifth Form
“It was so much fun to have Tamsin coach us on Saturday, her points to work on and tips were really interesting, and she was very lovely too!” Emilia F, Lower Sixth
