Hurst Unplugged is an exciting annual event which celebrates modern music. The atmosphere is always relaxed as the audience listens to a range of pop and rock music. This year, audience members were especially delighted to watch the performance live for the first time in two years.
Each act was fantastic, with students displaying poise and confidence in captivating the audience. A few tears were shed during the more emotional performances. The bands performed some great collaborative pieces, working very well with the dynamics of playing acoustically. A difficult skill to master but our students rose to the challenge.
The hosts for the evening, Sophie N and Matthew G, ran the show brilliantly, warming up the audience confidently with a repertoire of dad jokes. Well done to all the performers; Olivia C, Charlie T, Hanna S, Izzy G, the Remove band made up of Willem P, Jonathan G and Euan S, Katie F, Liv M, Lexi Lott and Lower sixth band made up of Sophie N, Matthew G, Ollie H, Toby M and Alfred B.
