Golf at Hurst has been going from strength to strength over the past few years. From achieving a place as one of the top five UK golf schools in 2018, to installing our first golf simulator earlier this year.
A top of the range Foresight GC3 Launch Monitor, with full simulator software, has recently been installed in the MUGA. This facility offers the most accurate data, in every weather condition imaginable. In every games lesson, our golfers can receive focused coaching tailored to their game. Not only are our top players improving but handicaps are dropping across the board, and most importantly, more players are able to enjoy themselves on the course.
Every lesson begins with a golf-specific warm up, followed by either technical work, competitive games, or simulated on-course session. Students can work on every aspect of their game, and as a result, the competition for a place in the school golf team is getting tougher.
This summer, Year 10 student Jack M won the British Par 3 Championship and former student, Joe Sullivan, won the British Amateur Championship. Hurst Golf is on the up and so is its facilities.
“ In the future, we hope to expand this facility to offer more space for all students to receive better coaching to improve their golf and enjoy the game even more ” Will Carroll, Head of Golf
