The Hurst Equestrian team headed to Hickstead Showground at the end of August to compete in the National School’s Equestrian Association Showjumping Championships.
The team included riders of all ages competing together in Hurst colours for both the 90cm and 1m competitions. Both courses presented some interesting technical challenges, forcing the team’s best riders to carefully consider their approaches. All riders were ready for the challenge with some great performances across both height divisions. A special mention for Finley B-H who completed two clear rounds in both height divisions.
By the end of the competition, the Hurst Equestrian team finished in 6th place for the 90cm class, and 5th in the 1m class. A very respectable placing at a national schools final against some of the op equestrian schools in the UK. This event was an excellent way to end a busy summer of equestrian events and provided the our team with the perfect opportunity to showcase their progressing skills.
