The return of the Informal Concerts started off with the years 7 and 8s, who put on a show as 25 brave and talented young musicians performed in an informal concert. With a wide range of musical styles on display, all of the performers gave excellent renditions of their repertoire. The recital opened with the Improvisation club who gave an energetic performance of Shake, Rattle and Roll. This was followed by show tunes from musicals including Les Misérables, The Sound of Music and Matilda. All sang by Esme & Maisie, Lexie, and Lillie. Sophie also played an arrangement of Close every door from Oliver! There was an assortment of classical performances with music spanning the centuries. Piano pieces were performed by Amanda, Jessica, Ben, Alex, Ciara, Henrietta, Alice, Evangeline, Sophie, Fleur, and Phoebe. There were also performances from Emily on French horn, Audrey on clarinet, Ciara on violin, and Alice on flute. From Brahms to Debussy, parents and teachers were thoroughly entertained by an afternoon of excellent and courageous musical performances, capped off with a well-earned slice of cake afterwards!
