THE ARRIVAL OF ADVENT

It was wonderful to see so many of us in the Hurst Chapel last night for our Advent Service; current pupils and parents, staff, alumni, and many more families. The Service took place by candlelight—the most festive of scenes—and was accompanied by the fantastic Chapel Choir. Some of the highlights included the anthems ‘Jesus Springing’, ‘Veiled In Darkness’, and the ‘Matin Responses’, with some excellent pupil solos. The congregation joined in too, with some classic hymns such as ‘O Come, O Come, Emmanuel’, and all left feeling ready to kickstart the festive season.
