Three of Hurst’s show jumping teams produced excellent performances at the Merrist Wood NSEA event on Saturday to qualify for the national championships in October.
The 70cm team of Lars D, Luca C and Lyla Y J won their section to qualify for the national championships. In the individual event, Lars D finished seventh and also qualified for the nationals.
Scarlet C S, Morton D, Harriet N and Olivia S took part in the 80cm section, and although they did not have the best day, they enjoyed the competition.
There was another victory and national championship qualification for the 90cm team of Lauren W, Harriet B, Morton D and Maddie V A. Lauren W also won the individual event to secure qualification.
A second place finish for the 1m team of Lauren W, Harriet B, Freddie L and Martha H ensured that three Hurst teams qualified for the national championships. Harriet B also qualified in the individual event by achieving sixth place.
In addition, Harry W came third in the 1.10cm event for horses and Lauren W secured another qualification for the nationals by finishing second in the 1.10cm event for ponies.
