As part of their ‘Amazing Animals’ topic the students met hedgehogs, badgers, Scottish wildcats, deer, owls, and more on their day out. They all found it difficult to decide which animal was their favourite but Ahsoka the hedgehog, Albus the stag, and Yoda the tawny owl were among the most popular. The keeper toured the students telling them about each of the animals and they learnt all about carnivores, omnivores, nocturnal animals and mammals.
