The Year 5 and 6 children put on a show for their Lent Term informal concert. This was a chance for the young musicians in these years to showcase the pieces they have been working on in a familiar, friendly, and supportive atmosphere, cheered on by friends and family.
Years 5 and 6 provided a sizeable programme of music from a wide range of musical styles and eras with works by AC/DC and Ludwig Van Beethoven being performed. The programme kicked off with Darragh playing the piano, followed by Isabella and Beth on the flute, Jake with the electric guitar, Charlotte at the piano, Santi and Elodie singing, Amelie on the piano, Charlie with classical guitar, Thomas at the drum kit, Oscar and Eliza on the piano, Darragh on classical guitar, Ellie on piano, Mrigank with violin, Jake at the piano, Oscar on trumpet, Santi at the piano, and Anouk with violin before Oriana and Emily closed out the performances singing a duet.
Overall, the afternoon showcased excellent musical performances by all involved. Parents and staff were thoroughly impressed by all performers and enjoyed listening to an array of different instruments and performances – not forgetting the tea and cake devoured afterward!
