Two of our Young Enterprise Teams, Artigo and Chaos held, stalls at the the Christmas Market at the Carfax in Horsham recently.
Both teams did really well on the day – Artigo were selling puzzle kits for 2-8 year olds which are handmade from lovely chunky pine and come in two different animal families – three dinosaurs and three sea animals. Each kit comes with paint and brushes so that children can decorate them individually and they’ve also added a little storybook for each kit.
Chaos have designed and had professionally printed, their own card game. This can be played with up to five players’ and it encourages group participation with consequences and forfeits, lots of fun!
Both products are very unique and entirely driven by the teams. They are targeting very different age groups/markets so there was no conflict of interest on the day and achieved lots of sales for both teams.
It was a cold day, but definitely worth it for our teams to have a chance of a real sales opportunity and the Christmas Market at Horsham is a great venue. All the kids were fantastic. Despite the cold, they all came for their shifts with positive energy and commitment – a credit to Hurst. And to top the day off, team Artigo were awarded the ‘Best Trade Stand’ prize from Jeremy Quin, Horsham MP.
“ In the Carfax on Saturday it was really enjoyable to talk to the finalists in the local Young Entrepreneur competition. The teams were designing, making and selling games for Christmas. Great ideas and even some profit margin! ” Jeremy Quin, Horsham MP
