Both Young Enterprise teams took a trip up to trade at Spitalfields Market in London yesterday. This is the largest one-day YE Trade Fair in the UK, and there were at least 42 companies present, representing teams from London and the South East. The prestige of this event meant that our students were able to meet with reps from companies such as KPMG, as well as visit MP Stephen Morgan.
The students had an early start, leaving at 6:30am and upon arrival, they had less than an hour to get their stands set up before the teams of judges started to arrive. Spitalfields is a great venue, but not completely enclosed – so the students had to work hard to keep their customer service energy up, along with trying to keep warm!
Both Chaos and Artigo were a credit to the College. Both teams made a profit – Chaos in particular, made some spectacular sales – and Artigo was awarded the top prize of Best Business on the day.
A great outcome for both teams, for Hurst and for YE Sussex.
